How does Lease-a-Bike work for employees?

MOTOCROSSSHOP.NL IS AN AFFILIATED DEALER OF LEASE-A-BIKE

LEASE A BICYCLE THROUGH AN EMPLOYER IN 2022
The employer can simply make a company bicycle available.
Depending on how you arrange it with him, you only pay a few euros per month for the use of your lease bike.
And the great thing is, the lease bike can be any type of bike, from city bike to e-bike and from racing bike to speed pedelec.
The scheme applies to permanent employees as well as to employees with a fixed-term contract.
Ultimately, the employer decides who gets a company bicycle.
Is your employer not yet aware of the leasing plan?

EMPLOYERS
You can read via this link that the lease plan can also be an attractive option for employers.

VARIOUS CYCLING REGULATIONS
Leasing a bicycle is the alternative to the bicycle plan (which existed until 2014), where you bought a bicycle yourself and - through your employer - received a tax benefit up to a maximum amount of 749 euros.

LEASE PLAN 2022
With the leasing plan you do not buy a bicycle, but your employer leases it for you.
The additional charge of 7 percent is for your account and possibly (part of) the monthly lease costs.
And there is no limit, because a company e-bike or racing bike worth thousands of euros also falls within the new scheme.
Again, ultimately the employer determines the budget for the bicycle. If your boss decides to offer the bicycle scheme in 2022, he can do three things:
He provides all lease costs, he pays part of the lease costs, or all lease costs are for your account.
If your employer agrees to your request to participate in the leasing plan, follow this procedure .

SERVICE
So you can choose a bicycle yourself ( all types of bicycles from more than 250 brands) and a dealer affiliated with the lease plan ( more than 1,500 locally affiliated bicycle shops) . The lease contract has a duration of 36 months, after which it is possible to take over the bicycle for approximately 15% of the purchase price. You can also decide to return the bicycle to the dealer free of charge and possibly lease a new bicycle.
Your lease bike always includes maintenance, insurance and 24/7 breakdown assistance.
You will find all information about this via this link .

EXCHANGE DOES NOT CREATE CRYING
If your employer is unwilling or unable to bear the (full) lease costs, you can still receive a company bicycle by providing (part of) the lease amount as an employee yourself by temporarily voluntarily exchanging gross wages.

MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT WHEN LEASING A BICYCLE
Some working Dutch people receive a tax-free kilometer allowance for commuting.
The lease bicycle can continue to exist in addition to the tax-free kilometer allowance, but be careful.
On the days that you come to the office in your own car or by public transport, you retain the right to this reimbursement.

MAXIMUM SAVINGS ON LEASE BIKE
Suppose your employer makes a lease bicycle available to you, but is unwilling or unable to pay for anything.
Even then, the lease bike is much cheaper than buying one yourself.

Self-employed
The lease plan is not only attractive for employees, but self-employed people can also use it. All information for this group can be found here .
